Meyerco's Speedster Rescue One Knife designed by Blackie Collins has a built-in glass-breaker an a reversible pocket clip. The flat blade tip prevents accidents if the knife is used to cut seat belts in an emergency. Classic back-lock mechanism with easy ambidextrous one-hand opening. AUS-8 Steel blade. Composite handle. Made in Seki, Japan.

Walter "Blackie" Collins held over 60 patents on knife mechanisms as well as many design patents. He was a member of the Cutlery Hall of Fame, founding member of the Knife Makers Guild, and founding publisher and editor of Blade Magazine and a world renowned knife maker who worked as a designer for all the major knife manufactures including Case and Gerber. While at Gerber, he designed most of the most popular knives made by the firm, including the Gator series and the Gerber Tool. Blackie left Gerber in the mid-1990’s to become a partner in the Meyerco firm.
