'Cowboys'. This vintage brass Key Ring by Legere features a licensed reprint of the Currier & Ives iconic painting. It was made in the USA around 1960, but the factory that made them went out of business and all of their equipment and remaining inventory was recently sold at auction. We bought a mixed lot of money clips and keychains, featuring different iconic Cutter & Ives art. Approximately 1.1/8" x 7/8" (2.5" X 7/8" with key ring).
Currier and Ives was a well known American firm based in New York City from 1835 to 1907. They produced prints from paintings by fine artists as black and white lithographs that were then colored by hand. Their lithographs represented every phase of American life, and included themes of hunting, fishing, city life, rural scenery, historical scenes, ships, yachts, river scenes, railroads, politics, comedy, mining and portraits.
